Rings and other Things

Hi everyone :)

There is a view things I have learned today and I can now say that I am an absolute idiot. Period!
I have cut myself countless times on various books in the library today whilst trying to study and almost ran into a door.
Yeah you never learn from that one, or at least I don't for some reason.

The other thing that you would think I learned from is getting on the wrong tram. Now this is not like I just walk up to the tram station and get on the wrong tram this is due to the confusing public transport system we have in Augsburg. Because we have so many construction zones here our trams and busses and all that stuff are always late.
And I am just to trusting when it comes to public transport, if the time table say the tram is due at 6.07 pm I get on the tram that arrives at 6.07 pm without checking what line it is. Also there is that moment you get your seat and just instantly start relaxing because you know you have at least 15 minutes till have to get off so you might as well put in your headphones and kill the time listening to music. Well that is exactly how I always end up somewhere I don't want to go.
So yeah that happened.

I just realized how completely useless that whole paragraph is because honestly who is interested in that J.?
Well it is written now and you will all just have to read it now :D
Sorry!....
Not really

And now I am watching Asterix, good times :)

And now to the fashion side of things. Or at least somewhere along those lines.
I love rings and am quite positive that I am not alone with that. I just think they make your hands look really elegant for some reason.
And I love to wear them and more then one preferably :)

Something along the lines of these:

And yes I did rob the ring tag on tumblr, but hey my inspiration has to come from somewhere :)

And then there are these days where you just feel like one ring isn't enough, that's when this happens:

I am a real accessories person. I wear bracelets and rings to an extend where other people think it is too much. But just like with all the other things: I do my own thing and if you don't like it then just kindly f*** off :)
I like my jewelry and the best place to get amazing new jewelry is Fab
Just a little example:

You will also be able to find a lot of other amazing things on there. It is always a great place to look if you need a present or something :)

Musical Monday

Hi everyone :)

Ready for some new music?
I don't know how many of you watch musicians on YouTube or are subscribed to people like Kurt Hugo Schneider or Max Schneider and so on, but those people are extremely talented!

Tyler Ward & Two Worlds - Roar ( Katy Perry)

I am a huge fan of acoustic versions of really famous pop songs and that is basically what those people do.

Tyler Ward and Kurt Hugo Schneider - Let her Go ( Passenger )

I am really torn by this song because I don't know if I like the original better or the cover. What do you guys recon?

Max Schneider & Kurt Hugo Schneider - When I was your man ( Bruno Mars )

Enjoy!!

Creative Sunday

 Hi everyone :)

The weekend is over again. What a shame. Well at least I had a great Sunday. I spent it in bed :D
What did you do over the weekend?
We initially had planned to go hiking but the weather spiked our guns. It was raining for all of you that haven't guessed already :)

So since Sundays are dedicated to everything creative I though I would share some of my writing with you. It's something I got inspired to do by an album title and I am not fully happy with it yet but I might just need to dwell on it for a bit longer maybe it will come to me :)
So you'll get to see my I-am-not-happy-with-it-yet version that I still quite like :)

Midnight Memories

We have all the time in the world,
no rush and no urgency.
It is bewitching to look into his eyes!
No one has ever looked at me like that before!
It is as if I was the center of his universe.
His to take care of

I melt into him and get lost in his loving expression.
His breath caresses my neck,
leaving me almost frustrated longing for his touch.
And when I get it it's electrifying,
his hands flow over my skin like a warm
summer breeze.
I have never been touched like that before!
I close my eyes

His finger leaving a trail of goose bumps,
making me shiver.
Everything I am seems to blur into him.
I dissolve!
There is no more me without him!
No more edges between our bodies,
all becomes one and I never felt
more complete

It doesn't make me weaker but stronger.
I feel like warm wind is wrapping me
in a protective embrace,
like I am made of glass and could break.
Because in that moment I really feel like breaking apart

Do I deserve to be treasured like that?
I am his most precious!
I was his most precious.
But if I close my eyes I can almost taste it again.
Hold onto it and never let go.
It is what it is:
a midnight memory

I'll never forget!

And a little photo of mine I have edited a bit and added a little something to:

I have this weird obsession with taking pictures of doors at the moment and adding little quirky quotes to it.
Good, bad? Something I should continue doing or completely forget about?
I would love to get some thoughts on this :)

It's late and flatmates

Hi everyone :)

Wow I did not realise it was already this late :)
I had a great day even though I spend most of it in bed :D
Do you get those days where you feel like you wont get anything done and then you manage to actually get a lot done and you just feel amazing? That is how today went for me :)

Moving on to flatmates and the feeling of having to kill someone :D
Living with 3 guys sounds a lot easier then it actually is.
There are so many things that drive you crazy that you didn't even know about before. And if it weren't for P. (the one I went to Oktoberfest with) I think I would have already strangled one of the other two :D
I mean not only are they extremely messy but the also don't seem to be able to do anything on their own.
Neither of the two others can manage more then 4 days without me.
Like when I went on holiday for 3 weeks. I wrote everything that was important down on a piece of paper, like our landlords phone number and stuff like that.
I was only gone for 3 days and I already had them asking me for said phone number and other things.
It can drive one crazy I can tell you. Or then our washing machine stopped working and one of them texted me saying: I think our washing machine is broken (I was already in New Zealand at that point). The only thing I did was laugh to be honest because what was I supposed to do? Even if that damn thing was broken I was still half an earth away and in a completely different time zone. Yeah the perks of being the only female in a household of 4 :D
Although I have to say that P. doesn't need me at all which is good cause there is only so much babysitting I can manage :)
The weird thing with this situation is that I still would not want to live with anyone else. They are my 3 guys and I love them even if I want to rip their heads of most of the time haha.

What fascinates me about living with guys is the fact that some girls manage to fall for one of the people they are living with. I can't even imagine dating one of those filthy buggers. Okay they are not that bad but still: No way.
I mean yeah I know them very well and all that but I also know what living with them would be like. And I can tell you that there is no room for romantic feelings after you have washed their dirty underwear that they just leave on the bathroom floor after having a shower.
Nope not gonna happen!
I don't get how other girls do that. I could never fall for one of my flatmates. Getting to know a guy who you live with is totally different then getting to know a guy who you met somewhere and who ask you for your number.
Two very different animals let me tell you.
I mean you living with a guy the first things you get to know are his habits and his daily routines and stuff like: how he likes his tea, what kind of toothpaste he uses, the way he makes his breakfast or how often he washes his sheets. And in between learning all that you get to know his character as well. But by that point you might already be to annoyed with him ti ding his personality even slightly attractive :D I don't know that's the best I can explain it!

But if you get to know a guy on a going o dates level you will learn a lot of other things first, like: His hobbies, how many siblings he has, where he is from, what he likes and dislikes simply put the things that will most likely make you fall in love with him if in addition to that he also is a nice guy.
All the habits and weird or quirky thing he does all come in later after you might already be in a relationship with him. That basically means that you are on a completely different level and are more likely to accept these things ish ;)
I hope you get what I mean because I don't know a different way of explaining it!

I still love my flatmates to bits but dating them is just nothing that I can ever see happening.
Do you live with someone of the different sex? Could you fall in love with them?
Or if you live with your boyfriend/girlfriend, would you have moved in with them if you had know how they are on a daily basis?
And I don't want anyone questioning their relationship here :D I am just a bit curious and I try to understand how others do it, because my cousin now has a daughter with her former flatmate and they have been together for about 5 ish years.

Food Friday - Chicago

Hi everyone :)

It seems like ages ago already that I was in New Zealand. But today I finally managed to go through all my pictures I took and sort them out which is wshen I came across some I took at different kinds of restaurant that I went to with friends.
And we'll start off with one called Chicago.

It is right at the waterfront of Wellingtons harbor. They do typical American cuisine and an all you can eat pancakes buffet on Saturday mornings. Sadly it wasn't Saturday when I went with my friend L but we had a good time there anyway.

Chicago's interior is exactly what I always imagined a American diner looking like, since I have never been to one :) I have also never been to America at least not if a 5 hours stop over at LAX doesn't count.

As it also is a sports bar there always is some sort of sport being shown on one of the many Tv screens that they have in there.
I especially liked the bookshelf above those seats around that table under the TV screens, it looks so comfortable. I really wanted to go sit there but it was such a gorgeous day outside that we couldn't spend it sitting inside just because I liked those seats so much.
Both, L. and I decided on a burger and ended up getting the same one. It was really good so we did not regret it :)

this is L. he is a very dear friend that I miss loads when I'm not in Welington

They were really amazing and had I been there for longer I would have gone in on a Saturday morning. But to be quite honest I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed early enough to go there on both Saturdays I spend in Wellington :D

So if you ever are in Wellington an find your self craving a good burger that wasn't made in some fast food restaurant you should definitely give Chicago a go.

Also, go check out their website here

Throwback Thursday - Fashion Fails Part II

Hi everyone :)

I went back home the other weekend and I spend quite some time going through old photo albums of ours. And boy did I find some treasures in there, because lets face it I did not have any sense of fashion whatsoever.

I mean what did my parents even think when they dressed me in this?

Let alone that I am 4 years old at that point and sleeping in a pram?
I think the flowers are what kind of saves the outfit since my jacket is so perfectly blending in with the colour of the pram .... ahhh :D

Oh and can we take a moment to talk about this hat that must have been really fashionable back then because I can not think of any other reason that justifies why my parents put that on me.

Yeah I definitely think that I didn't agree with my parents and the fashionability of this hat :D
I still love my parents to bits although someone should have clearly told them that dressing your kid so it looks like an idiot is not acceptable!
However I am pretty sure that my kids will say that about me when they are older as well. I still hope not but I don't think that I will get that lucky :)

Oh and don't even get me started on this one. I look like I'm drowning in that coat :) And also a bit constipated... Yeah lets not go there haha.
Although I do love the amount of easter presents that I got back then. Why is this not happening anymore? I would gladly wear a jacket like that again... Mum? Dad?

I actually have to say that I quite like this dress although I seem very unimpressed by it in this picture. I think my parents could have done a lot worse ( and have as you can see in the previous pictures! :P)

So to finish this off:
I can only say this much:

smh

Fashion Blogs

Hi everyone :)

There are so many different fashion blogs out there that it can sometimes be hard to find good ones.
I have two favourites that I thought would be worth sharing. They also appear on my sideboard with the links but they are worth another mention.

First up is a blog called 'Fashion Influx'.
Here is the link :

The author is the gorgeous Lydia who you can find on various social media websites as well as her blog obviously :D

Her styles is a good kind of different that I like very much, although I am not brave enough to wear most of the outfits, I take some good inspirations away from it. It's a bit edgy but sweet at the same time and very feminine.
You should go check out her blog it is great an I thoroughly enjoy reading it and getting outfit inspirations :)

The 2. blog I really enjoy is called 'Salted Roses'

and written by Amy.

She does loads of different things like OOTD's or some beauty things and even a bit of lifestyle here and there but mostly fashion. And I am absolutely in LOVE with her outfits.
I would wear everything that has ever been on that blog, seriously.

Both blogs are very coordinated and not overloaded with information or colours. The focus on what's important, that being fashion and the way different fabrics and patterns go together :)

Enjoy :)

It is strange really

Hi everyone :)

Isn't it strange how much we actually rely on our cell phones and computers?
I mean when was the last time someone wrote a letter to you? How many of your friends actually call you for your birthday instead of just texting?

And I am not saying I am any better but I have to admit I hate it.
Or the fact that more and more people just go to the movies instead of reading a book.
And all that due to the fact that it is just easier.
It is so much easier to look on Facebook for someones birthday then to actually remember it or put it in your calendar.
It is so much easier to just write and E-mail then to take the time to write a letter and then take it to the post office. And on top of that you have to wait a whole day till the other person gets it. I mean it's outrageous isn't it?
How can it possibly take that long haha

But do you get where I'm coming from? All the other 'old' stuff is not that bad and it doesn't actually take that much longer. We are just a bit to lazy to use those kinds of things.
I find that very sad. Because there is nothing better then coming home and having a hand written letter waiting for you.
I always get very excited when I get one, but mostly it is my aunt that writes me those or my German teacher back from 11th grade.
Technically no one ma age.
I fell very old school and I wonder if some day people will ask what a letter is.
I mean think about that! I find that incredibly scary.
It's the same with books, barely anyone reads real hardcovers anymore. It all ebooks nor on tablets and those kindle things from amazon.
But I guess I don't mind that so much, as long as people keep reading books they might as well be ebooks.

Just the other week it was an old school friends birthday and I got my phone out and was about to text him when I thought: Why don't I just call him? So I did and he was so delighted that I called and didn't expect it at all. To him it felt like a real treat.
I mean in a era where the ultimate feeling is getting a private message on Facebook a phone call seems like a gift from heaven.
I love social media and all that but I would rather have no one congratulate me then getting thousands of comments on my wall on Facebook just saying: Happy Birthday.
And to be honest that is exactly what happened last year. My birthday isn't shown on Facebook for above said reason and literally no one remembered my birthday.
From my old school 1 person did and my best friend. Other then that only family. It hurt but I'd rather have that then all these fake ones that just write it because Facebook reminds them. I mean common it is so easy to just set yourself a reminder on your phone. So if I am not even worth the effort of typing some date into my phone I would much rather be forgotten.

Next thing is texts ore whatsapp messages. We spend ages on our phone texting back and forth making plans when it would be so much easier to just call and have a 5 minute conversation. Although I will admit I am not doing that either, I just text till it's settled :D

I just sometime wish we would take more personal time to actually interact with each other and not all these so impersonal things like texts or messages on which ever social media platform.
They are absolutely fine from time to tie but it can't be all the way of communicating with the people around us.

So next time you think sending your friend an e-mail: Why not write them a letter instead?
And maybe call someone for their birthday and see how surprised and happy the will be about that :) Their reaction will make it worth it, promise :)

The world belongs to those who wonder it with serenity

Musical Monday

Hi everyone :)

Lets listen to some music shall we?

I like this kind of music at the moment, it is also quite good to listen to while studying, that's what I've noticed. Just some slow songs with  a good rhythm and real instruments

Family of the Year - Hero

Mighty Oaks - Just One Day

Husdon Taylor - Chasing Rubies

And since YouTube is being a bitch you will just have to use this link to actually get to the song :)

Enjoy and have a good start into the week.
Mine started with a explosion and I actually am talking about an explosion.
The people who own the back of our house are having some building work done and had a little accident today.
The workers were soldering some copper pipes together and then their soldering bolt kind off backfired on them and some gas came out the wrong way and there was an explosion. There was a wall that nearly came down and the pressure in our hallway was enough to break our front door. It literally came out of it's hinges and the lock broke, now it wont close anymore.
Luckily no one was really hurt although one of the workers has a mild concussion from being dashed against the wall.
Other then that we are fine but it was a bit of a shock to be honest.
I thoroughly hope all of your weeks started a lot less stressful :)

A gorgeous Autumn Day

Hi everyone :)

It was such a good day today, wasn't it?
And I chose to go on a little road trip today and meet up with some friends who study in the same town.

As you can see it was a great day and sooooo warm as well. I got dressed in the morning for a sunny day in autumn but as soon as I got out there I took almost everything off again :D

When I got to my destination: Tübingen, it was even warmer then before and by the time we got to the city center and sat by the river side we were sweating like idiots haha. It was about 25 degrees and I wore a short-sleeved dress, tights and boots and was way to warm :)

They have these little boats, that almost look like the gondolas in Venice, that go around on the river. I would really love to go on one some day but today we did not really have time for it, because we had a lot of catching up to do.

It turned out I had missed a whole break up and vacation drama and the moving in with a boyfriend.
But it was great to get to see both of them again and chat for a bit.

The weather almost felt a bit surreal. I would expect weather like that in summer but the fallen leaves in all their colours were proof enough that it was in fact not summer :)

I really do hope this wasn't the last sunny day before the snow hits :)

Food Friday - Vapiano

Hi everyone :)

It is Friday. Yeah weekend.
But that for me also means that my semester break is finally over and uni starts again on Monday.
3. semester already, that is crazy, seems like it was yesterday that I stumbled into this crazy world that is university with absolutely no clue what I was doing.
To be fair I think I still don't know what I'm doing but shhh!

So last week I was in Munich to help out AIFS at an exhibition. They are the organization that I went to New Zealand with. If you are interested in a year abroad you should definitely go and check out their website.
Since my cousin lives in Munich and I was there anyway we decided to go out for dinner after I was done.
We walked around for a bit until we decided that going to Vapiano was probably a good idea.
If you're not a new reader you will know that I have been to Vapiano before but in Augsburg. You can read about that here.
The Vapiano in Munich however is a completely different thing. Sure they serve mostly the same things but the set up is a lot cooler.

It is situated in one of the many malls in central Munich and very popular.
This particular restaurant is always well-attended and it can sometime be quite hard to find a place to sit.

So maybe plan with some waiting time that you can fill with sitting at the bar and having a drink.
My cousin and I however were very lucky and were able to find a place to sit after a bit of looking around.

Vapiano is a self-serving restaurant however they do cook your stuff fresh at the counter and you can watch them preparing it.

I also really like the way they drew their menu on the black board above the counters.

The whole place is very open and hold in simple red and orange lights which makes for a real warm atmosphere. They have comfy arm chairs downstairs and wooden chairs and tables upstairs.
The thing that I love about the interior of Vapiano in Munich is the round room that they have left in the middle. So sitting up stairs you kind of sit in a circle and can look down to the lower part of the restaurant.

We went for a simple salad and a pizza tht wasn't technically a pizza but more of a bruschetta ish thing.

It was delicious as ever and the fact that my cousins boyfriend treated us to dinner was a very much appreciated bonus :)
