Musical Monday

Hi everyone :)

Wow it has been almost a week. It is so weird not to blog every day. I think I will most definitely return to that either this or next week. As far as studying for my exams goes I am right on track so I can take a bit of time to write blog posts again.

Music wise I am still stuck on the new Ed Sheeran album. So I will torture you with some more of that and encourage you to buy it!

The next song is just simply beautiful. It has become one of my most listened to songs on iTunes since the album came out.

And this one is the song that Ed Sheeran has said he loves the most on the album.

Enjoy. And I will try to listen to some new music till next week :)

Announcement

Hi everyeone :)

I have been telling you for quite some time now that I have some exciting news to share and today it is sharing time.

I have had this blog for over a year now and I really want to continue blogging so I thought it was about time to take this to the next step.
I am making my own website!

Yes there it is! So most of the days where you have not been getting a post I have been trying to get that ready for you. And I think it is coming along nicely.
My estimated time of launch is something like the middle of July. I won't give you an exact date as I don't it to not be ready by than but vaguely it is somewhere around 15. July.

I am really excited to be doing this as I believe it is a great way of showing that I am quite serious about this little space and that I love it as well as you guys very much.

So be patient with me and new blog posts and get excited with me about the new design. I really plan on making it the best blog I possibly can :)

Another little thing I might as well start telling you is that we will get a little guest blogger on this little space here.
A dear friend wants to share some of her thoughts and I offered her a slot on this blog because I think it would be great to have someone else on here. The main stuff is still coming from me but she will probably blog once a week.
She is lovely and you have all met her before ind various different posts and she has been helping me with most of the outfit posts.
So she has already kind off been working with me on this blog but now she will be doing it a bit more actively :)

Modern Natural Makeup-kit

Hi everyone :)

A little while back I bought the 'Modern Natural Makeup-Kit' from Real Techniques. I have had it for a while now and I think I have used it enough to give an honest opinion.
I even took it to London with me and it survived the travel so I am quite proud of it for that.
But not only that obviously :)

None of you will know this, but I am not the biggest fan of primer. Don't know why, I have just never warmed up to it. However I do own quite a view eye shadows where it is advisable to use primer underneath.
So imagine my happiness when I first used it and noted that I was perfectly fine without primer.
The product stayed in place and was also easy to apply.

Personally what I love most about the 'Modern Natural - Kit' is that it doesn't just consist of eye shadow but also blush, highlighter, lip gloss and eye liner. So you can really create a whole look with it and not just an eye makeup.

Colour payoff is great, I am in love with the highlighter and the blush is quite subtle which I always love, since it means that you can really build it up.

And if you want a little tutorial on how to use it best, here you go:

This honestly is a makeup-kit that I would absolutely recommend buying!

Musical Monday

Hi everyone :)

Sorry for not blogging for three days but I was busy with my special little project that actually has a lot to do with this blog. That and studying for my exams at the end of this semester.

So forgive me for not blogging but I fully intend to get back to it. Maybe not daily like I used to and maybe with less of a theme because that doesn't seem to work for me anymore but I will blog every other day and let you all know about it on Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram. So follow me on any of these and you will be kept in the loop :)

As for music: I have been obsessing over the new Ed Sheeran album that is out in a couple of days. So here are a couple of songs for you to hopefully get you as excited as I am :D

I know this one is from the last album but it is just so so so good :)

Also go buy his new album it will blow you away I promise: X (multiply)

Enjoy!

Theme Park

Hi everyone :)

I am fairly certain that all of you have at least once been to a theme park but who has been to one since they have technically outgrown them?
Now as you know I am a bit of a sucker for childish things, so it should come as no surprise to you that I have friends who like to do some less mature things once in a while as well :)

So a while back my boyfriend and I went to dinner with an old schoolfriend of mine and his girlfriend. I have no clue how we got to talking about theme parks but somehow we did and decided that going to one together should be a thing.
We made it a thing and that is how we ended up at the gates of 'Holiday Park', taking a trip down memory lane :)

Upon walking in we were greeted with the our first opportunity to act a bit age inapropriate and made a couple of kids wait longer for their picture with Willy (the male bee in Maya the bee).

Sorry kids we just had to :D
And that is how the fun started with a lot of screaming and wetness involved. And a lot of silly pictures like these :

left: my schoolfriend F. and right: my boyfriend

We started our journey around the park off at the back, after the Free-fall Tower, since we figured a lot less people would probably be waiting in line for things there. We weren't wrong, so the first thing we did was go on a ride called Sky Scream and that name is well deserved.
I honestly don't know how the people working there do it!

This ride is fairly new and quite frankly I think it looks a lot less scary than it actually is. I underestimated it and regretted going on it the minute it started! That is probably also due to the fact that I had to take my glasses off an couldn't see a thing :D Riding a roller coaster without seeing a thing is a lot scarier than you would believe.
I did scream my boyfriends ears off: Sorry!

my schoolfriend F. and his girlfriend A.

Next on our list was a big swing carousel.
And after that we went to a water show which was hilarious. Not due to its actual funniness but because the acting was so bad. We had a good time :D

our little group: F. T. A. J.

And don't ask me what that face is: I have no idea :D
We went on a couple of other rides and behaved a lot more like kids until we found our favourite thing yet: A water ride.

We did mock other people on it but it was sooooo much fun. I don't even know why exactly but we did go on it 3 times I think. Every time trying to get wetter than the last. A. even wore a rain coat so her clothes would stay dry.
You know those pictures that they always take on these sort of things? The ones that no one every buys? Well we did buy one since we posed for it and it is lovely memory of an amazing day.

Next was another roller coaster that yet again I didn't see anything of and screamed like a cry baby. But that is kind off liberating don't you think? Just screaming, I find that to liberating, letting it all out. It does make your voice a bit hoarse though, I will admit to that.

And what would a day of being a child be without cotton candy and looking like an idiot?

After having had yet again flooded our systems with adrenaline we thought it was only right to go on a calmer ride.

Yes people get excited it is Tabaluga and we sailed on tiny boats through one of his adventures.
It was very relaxing and made me think of Sunday afternoons when I was nine where we would watch the show at my nan's place.

The park itself is decorated really cool with all kinds of characters from kids Tv shows.

The four of us had a great time and I think behaving a bit age inappropriate from time to time is a good thing. Why not release your inner child once in a while?

Summer Wardrobe II

Hi everyone :)

Last week I stated a little summer thing where I show you some outfits I would wear in summer. Mostly for you to maybe take some inspiration away from them :)

I am still working on good ways of doing that and this is what seems to work for now although I am always developing new techniques as I move along. Jut like I am doing with the new exciting thing I have planned but that is neither here nor there yet and will be discussed in a different post I promise.
So without further ado lets get this show on the road shall we :D
Go I am way less hilarious than I think, but that might be something I inherited from my dad :)

First Outfit:

shorts - cotton on
top - Zara
leather jacket - Zara
shoes - h&m

Obviously the leather jacket is very optional here depending on the weather but I have found it quite nice to have something you can take off if it gets hotter during the day. Simply because I mostly go to University pretty early when you can't tell how hot it is going to be yet.

Second Outfit:

trousers - Zara
shoes - Vans
t-shirt - h&m
bag - borrowed from a friend

Third Outfit:

blazer - h&m
t-shirt - Johnny Cupcakes
jeans - promode
shoes - Vans

I do love all the items in this outfit to bits because this works with mostly everything. You can switch one piece and the whole thing still works. Switch the jeans for short or leave the blazer at home and you still look good.

Enjoy the weather guys :)

1D Concert Wembley Stadium

Hi everyone :)

Yes I have been keeping this from all of you, because I didn't know if I wanted to write about it or not. Depending on my thoughts and how I felt about the whole experience. But I can now say that there was going to be no way I was not going to write about this.

Going to a One Direction concert is the most surreal experience of your life (if you are a fan) and starts days before the actual concert.
For the whole week leading up to the concert my boyfriend has been making fun of me for going but to be honest I didn't care. If you love something enough you just don't. Don't let other people tell you it is childish or laughable that you like One Direction!

So on Thursday around lunchtime I set out on my journey to London.
The weather was gorgeous and flying to London and being greeted by even better weather is nothing I am going to complain about :)

Thank you British Airways for getting me from Munich to London safely and fairly cheap.
The whole of Thursday it was really hard for me to contain my excitement because I just couldn't believe that I was going be seeing One Direction live.

On Friday the gates were to open at 5 and I thought I would go there early to get a feeling for what it was going to be like. Let me tell you: If you have a seat don't bother being there early there is no point in standing in line if you have a seat.
Lesson learned :) Although it was quite fun to talk to other Directioners in front of the stadium who had been there for more than 8 hours. They were obviously standing.
Another thing: Don't be afraid to go there alone or with just one other person because everybody there shares your interest. Talking to new people has never been easier and I wasn't the only one who was slightly older than the average fan.
And there even was the occasional guy watching the show :)

So now lets get to the actual event. After I got into the stadium, being one of the first people who were sitting I could watch the stadium fill with people.

Then 5 Seconds Of Summer started playing and the stadium filled some more.

Wembley Stadium fits around 90.000 people and last night it was sold out. So there was 90.000 people screaming when this came on the screen.

Let me tell you it was insane and they weren't even on stage yet. The air felt vibrant and I have never felt more alive than in that moment when they walked out on stage and everyone was screaming and jumping around and clapping. Even if I wasn't the loudest one screaming the kids next to me did enough for 20 people.
But it is contagious. I don't think you can go to a 1D concert and not scream your lungs out.

I mean most of us have Tumblr accounts and we therefore see a lot of gifs and pictures from concerts but I can tell you one thing: You will not be able to grasp what they are like if you haven't been to a concert. I thought I had seen all the crazy Harry does on stage but let me tell you that boy is out of his mind. I honestly don't know where all that energy comes from but he jumps around like a bouncy ball. Liam works in some weird dance moves that are somehow really cool, Zayn just looks too good for his own good, Niall is a lot less innocent on stage than the angle he looks to be and Louis... well don't even get me started on that one :D
I just didn't know that them being so crazy on stage could transfer onto the audience or maybe it was the other way round I don't even know. The atmosphere was amazing.
Some crazy s*** that went down last night :D

The show is one thing but I think the people make this such a great experience. It felt a bit like going to the movie multiplied by 20.
I have never been more high on adrenaline and I didn't know my voice could handle that much screaming and singing.
Also how much fun do they make of themselves during these shows?
We all know the line in C'mon C'mon right at the beginning that Zayn sings:
The one that I came with, she had to go but you look amazing standing alone.
Well he stands in the middle of the stage all by himself singing it. And he did look quite good might I add :D
Also the projections they have on the screen are hilarious. During Better than words where they kind of howl they have a wolf on the screen and owls and little ghosts singing along.
So the show is also god for a laugh and not only Harry being an absolute nutter and eating a banana right in front of the camera sending the stadium into frenzy.

All in all I had the most amazing time and if I ever have the chance to go again: I will no matter who makes fun of me for it.
Yes I am 22 and like one Direction and screamed like a crazy person.
I am cool with that :)

Here is a little video that I recorded to maybe give you a little insight into my night.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

A Bit too Much

Hi everyone :)

I think everyone knows those moments where life just gets a bit too much. But I think we mostly connect that feeling with bad things and never with happy feelings.

But I do believe that life can get too much because it is just so good as well. I think we have all found ourselves in moments where we couldn't believe that this was our life. Moments of pure joy and happiness that was so overwhelming we didn't even know how to handle it.

When things like that happen we tend to self-destruct, I don't know why we can't just ravish the feeling of pure happiness. Why do we think that we don't deserve so much good in our lives?
Where does that come from?
I have felt like my life was to good to be true on more than one occasion and I can say I self-destruct. And often! I ruin a completely perfect thing just because I believe that I don't deserve to be this happy.

Why I put myself down like that? Know idea!
But I think instead of accepting that life gets a bit too much and we ride the high we feel the need of coming down again. We feel like if we can't control the way we are going to come down again that it will be much worse.
I think we need to realise that our life isn't always out to get us. That we can enjoy the good things as long as they last!

It's okay to feel like our level of happiness is a bit to much but I think we have to enjoy it as long as it last. Much like we endure pain in our life we have to take the good times as well and not shy away from them in fear of being hurt much less if we cut those times short.

Because:
The devil is afraid of happy people!

Summer Wardrobe

Hi everyone :)

I thought since it is getting warmer I would do a little 'Summer Look-Book' with the help of my friend M.
Yes if you have been reading my blog for a while you might know her :)

First Outfit:

shorts - h&m
top - mango
ballerinas - h&m

I especially love this outfit if it is warm out side but not quite hot enough to just wear short sleeves. Because this knitted top is knitted it isn't as warm as it looks and I really enjoy wearing it.
And can we jsut agree that h&m ballerinas are the most comfortable things your feet will ever get put in? I don't think you need to spend a lot of money on ballerinas as I tend to through them out after one season anyway.

Second Outfit:

dress - Asos
ballerinas - justfab

You might want to wear a different bra underneath but I realised that a bit too late :D I think this is a perfectly cute dress for a summer wedding or garden party of some sort. I would also wear this dress with black heels but since I though of a summer wedding on a meadow I thought flats would be a better choice :)

Third Outfit:

dress - the warehouse
jeans vest - the warehouse
flip-flops - h&m

This is my number one got to outfit if I am late in the morning. You just throw it on and your done. Doesn't need much time or looking after and it is always there.
I also love to wear this to the beach as you can easily take it off or put it back on.

Enjoy the warm weather :)
