Zalfie

Hi everyone :)

I don't get how people get so worked up over something that they completely forget what kind of effect it has on others.

I know I have written about fandom's before and it is kind of similar but I just am not able to get my head around it yet.
Read my post about fandom's here: Myler.

This time it is not so much about a fandom in general but about this other thing called shipping, which basically means that you want two people (real or not) to be in a relationship.

So far so good! I mean who didn't think that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were really cute in High School Musical and wanted them to be together. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were literally the same thing only when it happened with them people knew about shipping :) And they ended up together (I know they are not together anymore but that is subsidiary) and people were happy, so good for them.
But there is this whole other side to it.
Which is when people ship you with someone that you don't want to end up with and then get angry at you for not being with them. Really?  Is that a reason to be mad at someone? I highly doubt it.

And I can imagine this whole shipping thing getting quite annoying especially when you constantly have to defend yourself and your probably none existing relationship with the person you are being shipped with.

Obviously this only happens to 'famous' people or people like YouTubers who put their lives on the internet for the world to see.
But what people seem to be forgetting here is the fact that YouTubers still get to choose which part of their life they want to share with said world.
This recently got a little out of hand with two amazing YouTubers that I genuinely enjoy watching.
I will admit that I am all team Zalfie but I don't watch them for that reason.
I'm talking about Alfie and Zoe, two British YouTubers that happen to have made 2 videos together about Valentines Day

Since that video and probably before that people have been shipping them and given them the name Zalfie. I admit to thinking they looked cute together but that is as far as it goes.

Because for me they were and always will be PointlessBlog and Zoella, two people who make videos but don't necessarily are the same person as Zoe and Alfie. They have lives outside of YouTube and a private life that has nothing to do with what the show in their videos. And I don't think that just from watching their videos you can know who they are. There still is so much that they don't show simply because they don't want to. And that should be okay! People should be able to accept that and keep there nose out of other peoples business.
I'm not saying that they play characters in their videos because I truly believe that they are not. I just think there is more to them then what we get to see. Also I don't think they are obligated to let their viewers know everything.
It is called private life for a reason after all.

Well back to what happened a view weeks back.

One of their friends vlogged his day and put it up on his channel. At one point you could see the desktop of Zoe's laptop and it showed a picture of her with Alfie. People immediately started posting  screenshots of it on Twitter and wrote about Zalfie being confirmed.
As a result of that their friend took the vlog down and reedited it. I saw the original vlog and I have to admit I did not pay attention to Zoe's desktop picture. So when people were starting to go crazy about it on Twitter I had no idea what was going on.
And to be quite honest the only thing I thought about at that point was how horribly Zoe and Alfie must feel.
Because I was sure that they kept that part of their lives private for a reason but people could not respect that.
And in addition to that I felt a bit sorry for their friend who had no intention to out Zoe and Alfie as a couple.
Zoe and Alfie both had said before that they did not like it when people commented on friends vlogs only saying how cute they thought Zalfie looked. I totally get that, I mean those friend put a lot of time and effort into making those vlogs and people then only take time to talk about  how cute Zoe and Alfie were but don't seem to care about what is actually going on.
I know I would feel weird if it was my vlog people would comment those kinds of things on.

Well but people couldn't let it go and got so obsessed with Zalfie that they literally looked for clues everywhere. So what happened a view weeks back had to happen at some point.

But I don't get why it had to happen in the first place. Why can people not respect someones wish for privacy?
How could people not get that neither Zoe nor Alfie wanted them to poke their nose into the whole Zaflie situation.
It was none of peoples business but some people obviously didn't get the memo.
I understand that they thought it was really cute and I thought so too but if Zoe and Alfie wanted to keep it to themselves, then so be it. It is their life and we have no right to know these kinds of things.

Both of them then took it upon themselves to respond to what people were saying about Zalfie being confirmed and wrote a blog post on Zoe's blog.

Which I think you should read and can do so here: Zalfie.
I really do admire them for doing that and taking the courage to step out into the public with their relationship, I just think it is a bit sad that they even had to go there.

Although it seems like something good came from it after all. Because now that their viewers know they can really choose what they want people to see and they can experiment with it a bit. Try to figure out what they feel comfortable with sharing and what parts they truly want to keep to themselves.

For me they will always be PointlessBlog and Zoella regardless of the fact that I am really happy fro them :)

But it still don't get why people feel the need to poke their nose into everything. Why can't something private be private? Why do we have to keep digging until we get to the core of things?

It should be enough that someone stands there to say: No I don't want you to know this. But instead we push them out of the way regardless what we might do to them by doing that.
This kind of curiosity scares me to be honest.

Well this was long. Sorry of it wasn't interesting for you but I just had to get that on here and therefore out of my head.

Enjoy your sunday :)

And lets just think about how our own curiosity might affect others before we start digging next time :)

Food Friday - Capitol

Hi everyone :)

So I once again went to a really cool restaurant.
This one is a bit different from the others because even reading the menu is an experience on it's own.

Before they turned it into a restaurant Capitol actually was a movie theater and they have kept that side of it as much as they could.
They have these old ish looking lights and their colour scheme is similar to one you would expect to find in a cinema. They have red chairs that could almost be called armchairs and you really feel like you are sitting in a cinema.

On their walls they hung framed pictures from well known old black and white movies.

But since it was a beautiful day we sat outside.
The menu at Capitol is very interesting to read. They have named all their foods after films and the titles have even written the release date next to them. So it is not only about choosing what you eat but you also get to remember all these great films.
They have meals with names like: 'Alice in Wonderland' which is a breakfast or a 'Pretty Woman Burger', a 'Romeo and Juliet salad' or a 'Jurassic Park Steak'.
My dad, whom I took there, was actually quite surprised by most of the release dates because he didn't expect certain films to be that old.
And the little geeks that we are, we turned it into a little game after we had chosen what we wanted to eat. One would name a film form the menu and the other had to guess the release date.
I lost by the way :D

I settled for a 'Pirates of the Caribbean Burger' and my dad, who clearly wasn't as inspired by the menu as I was, got a pretty boring sausage salad.
It still looked incredibly good though :)

I had to snap this picture really quick because my dad could hardly contain himself. You can see how he is holding back his hands just waiting for me to be done so he could get stuck in. I was worried I had to hit his hands in order to get my picture before it was all gone :)

Yes this was my amazing burger, doesn't it look great? It was a chicken, pineapple, cheese, tomato salady kind of burger with a delicious curry sauce. I had expected it to come with a bit of salad as a side but it also came with little potato cubes which were basically like chips but nonetheless really good.
I really wish that you could all just reach into the screen and grab that burger to eat, because that is how good it was. And I was so full after I had eaten all of it :)

All in all Capitol is a really great restaurant with an overall eating experience that is a little different which I thoroughly enjoyed. It is most definitely a place I will be coming back to.

Gossip Girl Style - Daniel Humphrey

Hi everyone :)

How has your week been so far? Good? I sure hope so :)

After we took a little break last week: Gossip Girl is back!
Yeah.

I hope I am not the only one who is excited for this.
I feel like Dan is the one constant in the whole series of Gossip Girl which totally makes sense if you know the whole story :)
I won't say more than that because there might still be some of you who haven't seen all episodes and therefore don't know how the series ends.
Back to Dan: I feel like his style did not change during the seasons at least not much. Yes in some details his outfits got a bit sharper but that is pretty much it.
The other big thing that changed about Dan was his hair :D I mean honestly that is all the change necessary, his hair looked terrible at times. A bit like a mixture between Prince Valiant and Goldilocks with brownish black hair.

Whatever Dan wore during the first season he could still be wearing in the last one. Most of his stuff were basic pieces that, depending on how they were combined, created new outfits.
His signature thing to wear were probably his shoulder bags, they made appearances throughout all the seasons.

They did change a bit as well though in a way that they started to look a bit more expensive like most of Dan's clothes, as soon as he could afford them.

They way he combined his clothes made them look smart from the beginning. There was no experimenting involved there and no really crazy things he wore. Apart from his hair of course :D

Dan's clothes looked very well put together from the start and his style of clothes was rather grown up.
Although by doing that he almost seemed invisible at times.
But again I am fairly certain that it was intended. His slipping into the background was in character after all, it just is the best place to observe what is going on.

I actually quite like Dan's look. It is easy to relate to and also very easy to do yourself. There is nothing complicated about it.

I mean take a good jacket, a nice shirt, some jeans and pull them over you leather boots and you are good to go. Throw a shoulder bag over your shoulder and you pretty much look like Dan Humphrey.
If you wanna switch it up leave the jacket at home and wear a vest instead and if you want his look on a night out just wear a tie with your vest and shirt.

This Is Us

Hello everyone :)

If you are not a One Direction fan and you are not open minded then I suggest you stop reading right here and tune back in tomorrow, because I went to see their new movie.
This Is Us
And just like 'Best Song Ever' this was the 'Best Movie Ever' or at least one of the view movies this year that I actually don't regret spending money on.
When I found out about the early screening of the movie yesterday I reserved my friend and I 2 tickets without knowing if she would even be able to come.
Turns out she did have time to go with me which made all the hours of working today even harder.
By the end of my shift we were both so excited that we couldn't stop texting each other. This basically went on till we finally met up in front of the cinema.

Then came the point where we had to make a decision: Were we gonna go full support or just silently fangirl during the movie.
We went for full support and showed our dedication to this movie and our excitement. And I am not ashamed of it one bit :D

Yes we did draw hearts on our cheeks with eye liner and wrote Louis and Harry in them :D That is the thing to do when watching This Is Us :)

When we walked into the toilet like that, a girl shouted: Go Louis. And we all had a little fangirl moment together :)
Yes I am 21 ( almost 22) and I get excited for a One Direction movie and I couldn't care less what other people think.
I am not one of those really dedicated fans but I do enjoy their music very much so not going to see the movie was not even an option.

Me and my lovely friend did feel a bit old though because there literally only was 12 year olds surrounding us and non of them were as dedicated as we were haha.

And then the impossible happened: 2 guys walked into the cinema. I know shocker right? :D At first there was utter silence and then all of the girls in there started whistling and clapping. The two guys were a bit embarrassed but quickly started to enjoy their 30 seconds of fame :) And no they did not come with girlfriends!!
I have to say this because actually all of my guy friends said that they would never go see this movie and that they believed, men would only go see it if their girlfriends made them go.
So again: These two guys came all by themselves and were not ashamed to yell through the whole cinema: What? They are really cool!
You go boys, show them :)

If you still have no idea what I am talking about then watch the trailer:

And I know what most of you will say: This is a movie only for fans.
And I will admit: Yes it is but for completely different reasons.
Fans will watch this for moments where Harry is shirtless or moments where they can get a close-up of their favourite member but there is so much more to this movie.
There is this whole other side to it, that obviously is interesting for the fans but not only for Directioners, as they like to call themselves. As we like to call ourselves :)

This film is about so much more than fangirling.
There is this one moment where Niall says: We are normal boys, we do everything other boys our age do at university. It is our job that is abnormal.

'This Is Us' is about the journey of One Direction. It's as much about the fans as it is about the group.
Louis calls it teamwork at one point, because there would be no One Direction without fans.
It is very interesting to see how much of an impact social media had on their careers as well. It all started of in the UK but within weeks the whole world new about One Direction. This would not be possible without Twitter or Youtube.
They after all are the biggest boy band of the world. Not even the Beatles were this famous or well known.

You also get a glimpse into their private lives. What it means to be on tour for 10 months. What it means to be on tour and produce and album at the same time.
There is this whole other side to One Direction or every other singer out there that fans normally wouldn't be able to experience but 'This Is Us' made it possible.

So wether you are a Directioner or not this is a movie that everyone can enjoy. It is very well made with some really cool effects.
Not only was it fun to watch but it also was a movie that I will definitely go see again.
And the fact that you watch it with other fans is priceless. We were singing along to the songs and screamed a little when shirtless Harry flickered across the screen. It was an experience on it's own, one that I genuinely wouldn't want to miss.
And fangirl or not I can tell you you will enjoy it. If not for naked members then for seeing how fame doesn't necessarily change you if you don't let it.

And I don't regret having a heart on my cheek with Louis name in it even though a lot of people gave me weird looks. I will wear it with pride although I will probably never be able to live in peace again because my flat mates will tease me for weeks.
I am a Directioner and I'm not ashamed of it. Suck it haters :D

Words of Wisdom

Hi everyone :)

I got this calendar with a saying for each day of the year for my birthday last year. And so far I have been loving it because some of those sayings are really inspirational.
And so was today's :
A stranger is a friend that you haven't met yet.
(Irish saying)

I instantly thought about first impressions.
We spend so much time judging other people that we don't even have time for what this saying implies.
I mean it is a beautiful idea but in all reality this would not happen. Lets be honest: How many times have you met someone for the first time and after 45 seconds you knew that you wouldn't want to get to know them any further.

And it is not surprising that if you do get to know them better it might turn out that you have been completely wrong about this person. Don't tell me this has never happened to you because it sure has happened to me several times.

I might have said this before but I actually do believe that a person gets more attractive the better you know them. Which can only mean one thing: A persons beauty does have to do a lot with their character. At least for me.

So a stranger is a friend that we haven't met yet? We should be a lot nicer to strangers then. Obviously that will not work with every stranger but it is a nice thing to do, isn't it?
For me this definitely is something that I will take into consideration next time I meet someone because I am at university where you basically meet new people every day.
And it would be a lot easier to just talk to someone you don't know yet if you don't judge them at the same time. Now I always try to do this which has actually lead to me getting to know a truly stunning friend. She is not someone I would usually hang out with but I didn't judge her when we first met and now she has become a really close friend that I treasure.
For me she was this stranger that turned out as a friend.
You can only meet those people if you give them a chance though. No prejudices or judgment.
You can't allow yourself these things if you want to turn a stranger into a friend.
There just is no room for prejudices.

Meeting someone for the first time it is hard not to jump to conclusions about them I had to learn the hard way.
When I first moved into my flat I thought all of the boys were really nice, (I tend to think the best of people) turns out one of them was a complete arse.
So yes first impressions can be wrong in a good way or in bad way.
Trusting your intuition with someone is probably the best thing to do when you first meet them.
Living  in a flat with 3 other people is an environment where there is constantly is change. Since I live here I have had 3 people moving out. We had do find someone new and I had to trust my gut feeling when choosing a new flat mate.
I couldn't allow myself to judge them instead I went with what my intuition told me. If I felt comfortable with someone they would move in even if I didn't like the way they dressed or how they looked or laughed.

All of them were friends I just hadn't met yet.
And I'm glad that I did meet them and got the chance to get to know them.
The flat mate I spend most of my time with is probably the person I expected it the least from. I can't tell you what it was about him that I didn't like in the beginning because I just love him now but there was something. My instincts told me we would get along fine but I there was something about him I didn't like. I had judged him.
I'm very happy that I got over that because he is amazing. We laugh about the most ridiculous things and sometimes in the most inappropriate moments but I wouldn't wanna have it any other way.

So give this stranger that come along a chance and you might have find him to be your best friend a year from now.

Because a stranger really just is a friend that we haven't met yet.

Food Friday - Vapiano

Hi :)

It is Friday, Friday, Friday.... Oi who is singing Rebecca Black there? Not me surely :)

I had almost forgotten that I went to this nice restaurant called Vapiano until I walked past it today and couldn't resist having one of their amazing Tiramisus. Yeah that dessert again :D
There was no way I could just walk by and forget about this deliciousness even though I had just had breakfast.
It is never to early to have Tiramisu!

However a couple of weeks back I had been there with a friend for a nice evening out. We didn't really know what to do but seeing that we were both hungry we thought grabbing a bite to eat would be the thing to do.
We didn't feel like a big meal and since they serve really delicious salads at Vapiano it was the perfect place to go to. Vapiano is an italian style restaurant chain that you can find in all sorts of different countries for example: France, England, Finland, Mexico and many others.

Entering you are given like a little credit card and wander off to go and get your food. They sort of book it on your card alongside with your drinks and everything else you are getting.

Although there is no waiters that come to your table to take your order Vapiano still has menus for you to look at. You don't really need them though as they have everything written above the serving counter along with the specials they have on certain days.

I settled for a rucola salad with tomatoes, parmesan and some of their tasteful bread while my friend chose the Insalata Cesare with croutons which I was really jealous of.

Not only do you get to chose what kind of salad you want but also what sort of dressing. They have several different ones so I'm sure everyone should be able to find one he likes. I was so confused by having to make a dressing decision that I actually have no idea what I ended up choosing :D But since it was a delicious meal it couldn't have been the wrong choice.

Also the drinks they make are quite something. They make really good non alcoholic cocktails which is convenient since I don't drink.

And of course their Tiramisu was something I had to try and did :)

It didn't only look good I can tell you that much and it was exactly the way I like Tiramisu. I loved it although it was quite rich.

We did have a lovely evening at Vapiano and it is a very good place to eat at. What makes it even better is that you can find their restaurants all over the world. So if you ever get stuck somewhere and have no idea where you can go for a good meal why don't check if there is a Vapiano around?

They have all their restaurants up on their homepage as well as their menu.
I can really recommend a visit :)

Sew Much Vintage

Hello everyone :) You all good? Hope you are :)

I'm good again. Don't know what was wrong yesterday but I'M BAAAACK :D I really feel like I had to properly announce that :)

Listening to Patrick Nuo - 5 Days and One Direction - Moments whilst blogging can only mean that I'm good again and that I feel like I'm 14 but that's fine. It after all is the kind of mood I want to be in right now, you all should join me really :)
I swear I'm finished being weird now.
Let's get to it shall we?

Normally you would expect me to blog about Daniel Humphrey today but I will not do that, since I found something a lot better on the weekend. We will have a final look at what can be called the 'Gossip-Girl-Style' next week though. Pinky swear!

I stumbled upon a little blog on the weekend that I would love to share with all of you since I instantly fell in love with it.
I am a big fan of vintage fashion, so there really was no way I wouldn't like this blog and the idea behind it.
The blog is called Sew Much Vintage, if you haven't guessed by the title of this post yet.

It's owned by two lovely ladies called Charlotte and Katy who not only are friends but share a love for everything vintage.

Charlotte and Katy (taken from their blog: http://sewmuchvintage.blogspot.de/)

They stroll about searching for amazing vintage clothes that they can share with the world and even sell to us. How lucky are we?
They are working on their own online shop at the moment but until then you can get the teasures they excavate on ebay

But not only do I very much appreciate what they dig up, no I also quite enjoy reading what they blog about.

The layout of their blog is quite simple and easy to operate. It also is very well organised.

Screenshot : Sew Much Vintage

I genuinely really enjoy reading other blogs and I can only highly recommend this one as they do an incredible job with it.
Not only showing vintage clothing but also great photography and retro editorials, with a fifties touch to the whole thing.

If you like it leave them some love and maybe let them know you liked it on twitter: @sewmuch_vintage

I hope you can enjoy this blog as much as I do and I will see you back here tomorrow :)

Spreading love

Hello everyone :)

I know I have done something a bit similar to this post before but I don't think it can be said enough times.
Altruism is something that we seem to forget about most of the time. I mean it is not hard to lend an elder a hand from time to time but we just don't do it. Or by the time we can bring ourselves to help out the opportunity has passed.
Why is that? It is something that should come natural to us and yet it doesn't.
And I'm no better then the people I'm complaining about here. However I do get better at it at least I'd like to think I do.
The other day I was about to walk across the street to get to the bus stop, when a women (around 80 ish) tugged at my sleeve and asked me if I could maybe help her. I linked her arm with mine and lead her across the street to the bus stop and later on helped her get into the bus. We talked about her husband who had died a couple of years ago and how much he loved teaching, till I got of the bus. I could see how happy she was that I took the time to talk to her and I was glad I did.
So why don't we do that more often? Why don't I do that more often?
It is so rewarding to think about others and help them out and it takes such little time.

Something I have gotten used to doing by now is getting up in the bus for old people. It took me a while but after doing it for a couple of times it become natural.
And the smiles you get from those people are so thankful and most of the time also surprised.
I know when I was little my parents thought me that it is polite to leave your seat to someone who is older then you if there are no other free ones.

Now I get that sometimes you have to think twice before you do it, because some people get offended. I had this women once who could barely stand but yet she thought it necessary to point out to me that she didn't need that seat cause she was still young. The grandma sitting next time me rolled her eyes at her and said: Just take it. I was glad that I had to get of at the next stop because I just couldn't stop laughing. That grandma was so cool.

And yes although you might find yourself in situations like this it's always nice to at least try.
Maybe the person who you offered your seat to might not think so but someone on that bus will! And maybe they get inspired by your action and another old person will be grateful for what you tried to do.
See that's the thing with altruism: It's contagious.
Whenever I get up on the bus for someone, there always is another person who get's up for the next grandma or grandpa that get's on the bus.
It's those simple acts of kindness that will make it easier to help in other situations where it will take a lot more courage to get up.

So lets all try to be inspirational for a while.
And watch the clip to see how far others go and maybe get inspired by them :)

Have a good week.
And let me know if you helped anyone this week. I would love to know. Maybe we can all be a bit nicer to others together :)

A Tribute to ABBA

Hello everyone!

I'm still high on adrenalin I guess but I have to write this post now before I forget everything :)

I went to a concert tonight with my dad. It was his birthday present to me since I absolutely love ABBA.
I was posting pictures on Instagram like a crazy person and if you follow me I'm really sorry for spamming you :)

I was excited for this concert the whole week and couldn't contain my dither in any way. My dad had a great time making fun of me but that didn't stop me.
So when we got there I couldn't wait for it to get started.

The band who covered the ABBA songs are called Waterloo and omg they were amazing.

It was an open air thing. Makes sense: It's summer and it was pretty hot today.
We had to wait for a bit because someone had to make sure not to come to late and ended up being there way to early.

And from that point on I didn't take any more pictures because I simply forgot about it.
The played every song from Mamma Mia and loads of other very well known songs.
At one point they asked people to put there fingers in the air and do the fingers dance and it looked so cool. If you wanna see a clip of that head over to my Instagram, the link is at the tip of the page :)

The crowd at this concert was so energetic, literally everyone sang along and was clapping and dancing around. It was so cool.
If you can get enthusiastic about ABBA this is the concert to go to.
I could turn around at any random point during the concert and there would be a sea of clapping hands behind me.
When they performed 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' the whole audience sang the chorus and actually made the band stop singing at all. Everyone stood up and was clapping and singing it was an incredible energy and an amazing feeling.

Their performance of 'I have a dream' gave me the chills. And 'Thank you for the music' was performed with so much power and emotion I was blown away by it. It was the perfect song to end the show with which they did :)

I loved this concert so much that I will definitely go see them again when they are performing around Augsburg again.
They have their tour dates on their website just in case I sticked you with the ABBA fever.

Food Friday - Va Bene

Hello everyone :)

How was your week? Good? I hope it was.

It is friday and you know what that means... Okay I'll admit it right here I have been watching way to much Daily Grace lately. If you don't know who that is you have either been living under a rock or not been putting your internet to a lot of use :D Here is her YouTube : DailyGrace.

On to the main reason we are here today: FOOOOOOD.
I just love it so much.

Today my dad came to Augsburg for the weekend since we are going to see an amazing show tomorrow night.
And whenever my parents are here we only eat out ,which you might know if you are an attentive reader of this blog.
If you are not: Don't worry you will get there lol. Maybe not. But welcome to today's post anyway!

My dad and I decided to go out for dinner since neither of us had eaten anything since breakfast (I had breakfast at 1 pm though whoops).
We didn't really know where we wanted to go and just took the place closest to my dads hotel.
So we ended up at Va Bene.

It was warm so we sat outside. They have really comfy chairs outside I have to say. And the waitress was so nice like probably the nicest waitress I met in my life. She was really thoughtful and quite funny but not in a intrusive way.
Va Bene severs Italian food and we mainly chose it cause they had tiramisu on their menu :D

shh... he doesn't know I put this on here :D

Meet my dad everyone. He is deep in thought here since he had a really hard choice to make.
We both decided on a pasta dish, I had lasagna and he had something with really hot sauce.

I don't usually eat meat but when I do I expect it to be good and this lasagna delivered and so did my dads hot stuff. I could barely eat it although everything he had to say about it was: Oh they could have use a bit more chili on that. He's weird but I love him.
The food was really good, nothing sensational but nonetheless very tasty.

Which is why our plates looked like this :

Now lets get to the main reason we ate there: TIRAMISU. My dad and I are both really big on this particular dessert and we will have it whenever we can. Normally I wouldn't eat it on a hot day like today but somehow I just couldn't care less today. I had to have it.

doesn't this look amazing?

The Tiramisu was by far the best one I have had in my life. It was sooooo good I could have happily eaten another one. It was very light and fluffy not the rich kind of Tiramisu that I was used to. It was perfect for summer and the coffee taste wasn't to strong either. I hate it when the only thing you can taste is coffee.
This Tiramisu is definitely worth another visit.

Gossip Girl Style - Jenny Humphrey

Hello to everyone on this bright day :)

Jenny Humphrey is the youngest character in Gossip Girl but nevertheless the one character that changes completely throughout the series and so does her style. I know all the other character kind of grew up with their style but Jenny's changed completely.
She went from being cute to absolute bad girl.

I mean look at this it completely changed form her clothes to the hair to everything.
I liked her kind of natural blond at the beginning and I can live with the platinum blond at the end but her haircut in between that looked terrifying. Am I the only one that thought that? That was also the time where she wore really strange things.
I mean I'm not the biggest fan of her final looked but that in between stuff wasn't my thing at all.

I liked her style at the start of the series. It wasn't risky but cute and girly. She wore the occasional bright colours but kept it clean. It was a good look for a 15 year old in a place like Manhatten. She sometimes reminded me a bit of Carrie from SitC.

Like I said cute. A bit undeveloped for my taste but so was her personality. She was at a point where she had to find her place in this new environment and so did her style.

And from there on out things went a bit downhill.

I actually love every single piece of what she is wearing there but I would not wear the jacket with the dress. It looks to grey for my taste. And I would not wear it with black tights I think. And like already mentioned I hate her haircut :D

But her new style did have some highlights :

I am absolutely in love with this look. It looks very grown up and well put together. The blue shoes with the coat work very well. She did look a bit more like the Jenny from the beginning there just a bit older.

Moving on from the highlights to the rest of the disturbing stuff:

What even is that? Can you wear that? Are you allowed to wear something like this? I don't have words for it but at the same time I actually think I like it, in a weird and twisted way :)
It is very slutty though, way to slutty for me. Aside from the fact that her skirt is very short she is wearing stockings (shocked face), I mean so do I but at least I wear them so you can't tell I am...

and here is the hair again....no words
So if let the fact that she slept with Chuck aside and broke up Serena and Nate I still don't really like her character. It got to a point where I just found her extremely annoying.
They took her rebelling against everything a bit to far and she was to high up on her horse. To be honest I don't even know how she got up there ;)

Her character developed in a weird way and so did her style. She still had some bright moments but most of the time I couldn't help but wonder what they were trying to achieve with her look.

I mean this is what they started with:

And this is what they did with her:

I'm pretty sure you will have a hard time finding shorter skirts then that...

And can someone please explain this to me?

Is this a thing? Cause if it is I'm very happy about having missed it.

To conclude:
I did like what they did with her style although she (as a character) became really annoying at one point. And she did wear some things that I would never approve of but nevertheless I kind of liked it. Surely I would never wear any of it myself, well I would wear the one with the blue shoes but that's not what it is about at the moment.
