Summer Dresses

I was short on summer dresses so what better place to restock than an asos sale? So I got my computer out and started my shopping madness. I got all of the stuff I have ordered yesterday but I will only keep three of the dresses I bought.

So without further ado:

Since I thought it might be nice to see what kind of make-up I would wear with the dresses I put that up as well :)

1. Outfit:

dress - asos
shoes - h&m

foundation - clinique (even better SPF 15, 24)
mascara - Maybeline (Big Eyes Rebel Black)
kajal - Manhatten ( Khol Kajal Eyeliner, cha cha choco 96W)
nail polish - Natio (Berry You)
lipstick - P2 (pure color, 090 red square)
blush - nutrimetics
perfume - Christina Aguilera

2. Outfit:

dress - asos
shoes - just fab

nail polish - Manhatten (Collection)
perfume - Parada Candy
palette - Real Techniques Modern Natural Make-up Kit
mascara, kajal and foundation: see above

3. Outfit:

back

dress - asos
shoes - h&m
flower crown - cotton on

lipstick - Revlon (colorburst lip butter, 090 sweet tart)
eye shadow - Urban Decay (Naked 3)
nail polish - Scotch (natural, atholl brose)
mascara, kajal and foundation: see above

All of these outfits are extremely me and I am really happy with the purchase. I have already worn the dress with the ladybugs and hearts and managed to stain it as well :D All the dresses are fairly short but they are supposed to be worn when it is hot out so I am not complaining. I especially love the fabric of the pink-is dress and the flower cut out around the waist accentuates it perfectly.
And if you feel like buying a new dress yourself, head over to asos their sale is still on!

Summer Wardrobe

Hi everyone :)

I thought since it is getting warmer I would do a little 'Summer Look-Book' with the help of my friend M.
Yes if you have been reading my blog for a while you might know her :)

First Outfit:

shorts - h&m
top - mango
ballerinas - h&m

I especially love this outfit if it is warm out side but not quite hot enough to just wear short sleeves. Because this knitted top is knitted it isn't as warm as it looks and I really enjoy wearing it.
And can we jsut agree that h&m ballerinas are the most comfortable things your feet will ever get put in? I don't think you need to spend a lot of money on ballerinas as I tend to through them out after one season anyway.

Second Outfit:

dress - Asos
ballerinas - justfab

You might want to wear a different bra underneath but I realised that a bit too late :D I think this is a perfectly cute dress for a summer wedding or garden party of some sort. I would also wear this dress with black heels but since I though of a summer wedding on a meadow I thought flats would be a better choice :)

Third Outfit:

dress - the warehouse
jeans vest - the warehouse
flip-flops - h&m

This is my number one got to outfit if I am late in the morning. You just throw it on and your done. Doesn't need much time or looking after and it is always there.
I also love to wear this to the beach as you can easily take it off or put it back on.

Enjoy the warm weather :)

Steve Booker

Hi everyone :)

I don't actually know how many of you are male or female so I thought I would do this weeks fashion input for all the male readers out there.
So hi to you it has been a while since something fashion related was actually useful for men :D

As the title of this weeks blog post already states we are going to take fashion advice from Steve Booker, a cool guy with great style and a good sense for fashion.
He not only has his own blog, where he recommends thing,s but also runs a Youtube channel.
Both of these platforms are focused on lifestyle and fashion and even though I am a girl I still enjoy reading his blog. He does have great opinions about combining colours and either wearing down outfits or pimping them up a bit. I know that he talks about that related to clothes for men but still take quite a view things away from it.

His blog is very well structured and not to full on. It has a clear design which makes it easy to actually focus on the content rather then get distracted by bright colours. I would go as far as saying it's a kind of 'grown up' look.

All the links to his social media sites are linked on his blog and I do recommend checking them all out.

I like the outfit and the pictures isn't boring either. It's focus lies on what he is wearing but at the same time doesn't reduce itself to just that, which is what I like about all of his pictures used on the blog.

So do go and check out his blog as well as his YouTube channel for some input on everything fashion and lifestyle :)

Gossip Gril for You

Hi everyone :)

If you read my blog regularly you may know that over the past view weeks I have been posting about Gossip Girl on Wednesdays. More accurately about the style of Serena, Chuck, Dan, Jenny, Blair and Nate.
So I thought this week I would try and recreate some of their looks or just try to create outfits that I can imagine them wearing.
Obviously I didn't dress like Nate or Chuck or Dan for that matter but I tried my best with Serena and Blair.

I got a friend of mine to take the pictures and we really did try to take this seriously but we just couldn't :D She is that one special person that makes me happy so being serious was never really an option :)

This is what came out of it :)

shorts: Zara , top: h&m, shoes: Tamaris, necklace: I am, earrings: I am

yeah this is just how serious we did take it :D
Tamaris

I can really see Serena wearing this, maybe with a bigger necklace. I really think this represents her style quite well. And she wore something similar to this. You can switch the outfit up a bit if you wear a nice pair of sandals with it.
The high-waisted printed shorts with a simple black top could be worn to a shopping trip with friends or even a night out clubbing.

dress: Zara , flip-flops: h&m, earrings: promod
I am quite happy with this recreation as it basically is what Serena wore in the first episode of season 2. My option is obviously lacking the hair though :D

blazer: h&m, top: Mango, jeans: Zara, heels: buffalo, necklace: promod
I absolutely adore this necklace! I bought it on a little shopping trip with a friend a couple of weeks back and I have loved it ever since and worn it as much as I can.

                                                   top: h&m, shorts: Mango

I have no clue whatsoever as to what I am doing in this right picture but I figured it looked funny enough to put it on here :)

a little close up on the sleeves as there is something special going on there :D

This is probably more of a Blair outfit although it is quite toned down for a Blair Waldorf outfit :)

top: Mango, jeans: Zara, boots: Superdry

I know that it was one of my friends favourites of the day, although I don't particularly like it. I put it up for her :) As a little thank you for helping me out!!

I hope you could get some ideas from this post and will now succeed on recreating some of the girls looks,
even though all of my outfits lack the essential of a handbag . I'm simply not someone who has a lot of them. Mine mostly are practical so I can get my Mac in and some books for uni. So you will just have to find you own perfect bag for each outfit. Sorry :)

Gossip Girl Style - Jenny Humphrey

Hello to everyone on this bright day :)

Jenny Humphrey is the youngest character in Gossip Girl but nevertheless the one character that changes completely throughout the series and so does her style. I know all the other character kind of grew up with their style but Jenny's changed completely.
She went from being cute to absolute bad girl.

I mean look at this it completely changed form her clothes to the hair to everything.
I liked her kind of natural blond at the beginning and I can live with the platinum blond at the end but her haircut in between that looked terrifying. Am I the only one that thought that? That was also the time where she wore really strange things.
I mean I'm not the biggest fan of her final looked but that in between stuff wasn't my thing at all.

I liked her style at the start of the series. It wasn't risky but cute and girly. She wore the occasional bright colours but kept it clean. It was a good look for a 15 year old in a place like Manhatten. She sometimes reminded me a bit of Carrie from SitC.

Like I said cute. A bit undeveloped for my taste but so was her personality. She was at a point where she had to find her place in this new environment and so did her style.

And from there on out things went a bit downhill.

I actually love every single piece of what she is wearing there but I would not wear the jacket with the dress. It looks to grey for my taste. And I would not wear it with black tights I think. And like already mentioned I hate her haircut :D

But her new style did have some highlights :

I am absolutely in love with this look. It looks very grown up and well put together. The blue shoes with the coat work very well. She did look a bit more like the Jenny from the beginning there just a bit older.

Moving on from the highlights to the rest of the disturbing stuff:

What even is that? Can you wear that? Are you allowed to wear something like this? I don't have words for it but at the same time I actually think I like it, in a weird and twisted way :)
It is very slutty though, way to slutty for me. Aside from the fact that her skirt is very short she is wearing stockings (shocked face), I mean so do I but at least I wear them so you can't tell I am...

and here is the hair again....no words
So if let the fact that she slept with Chuck aside and broke up Serena and Nate I still don't really like her character. It got to a point where I just found her extremely annoying.
They took her rebelling against everything a bit to far and she was to high up on her horse. To be honest I don't even know how she got up there ;)

Her character developed in a weird way and so did her style. She still had some bright moments but most of the time I couldn't help but wonder what they were trying to achieve with her look.

I mean this is what they started with:

And this is what they did with her:

I'm pretty sure you will have a hard time finding shorter skirts then that...

And can someone please explain this to me?

Is this a thing? Cause if it is I'm very happy about having missed it.

To conclude:
I did like what they did with her style although she (as a character) became really annoying at one point. And she did wear some things that I would never approve of but nevertheless I kind of liked it. Surely I would never wear any of it myself, well I would wear the one with the blue shoes but that's not what it is about at the moment.
